Engage: Uniting Voices for Mental Health and NCD Advocacies in the Philippines

#Enga9e: A Virtual Community Debate

Join #MentalHealthPH in a virtual community debate via Zoom on April 30, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM(Philippine Standard Time). This event commemorates #MentalHealthPH’s ninth anniversary and serves as a crucial platform to amplify Filipino voices on mental health and noncommunicable diseases (NCDs).

Elevating Filipino Perspectives on the Global Stage

In the lead-up to the 4th High-Level Meeting of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and the Promotion of Mental Health, and the Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing on May 2, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, this initiative aims to ensure Filipino experiences are heard.

As a proud participant in the upcoming UN hearing, #MentalHealthPH invites community members, mental health advocates, individuals with lived experiences, and other stakeholders to contribute their insights. Share your stories, highlight best practices, identify persistent challenges, and propose solutions using the hashtag #Enga9e.

“We believe the power of change lies in our community,” stated Roy Dahildahil, Executive Director at #MentalHealthPH. “Your voices matter. Through #Enga9e, we want to ensure that the realities of Filipinos—our struggles, innovations, and hopes—are represented on the global stage.”

Participants in this vital dialogue will collaboratively shape the key themes that #MentalHealthPH will present to the United Nations, ensuring that global decision-makers receive direct input from the ground.

Be Part of the Conversation

Everyone is invited to participate in this important conversation. Individuals with lived experiences and those actively engaged in mental health and NCD advocacy are particularly encouraged to join. Through collective effort and storytelling, #MentalHealthPH strives to raise awareness for inclusive, sustainable, and equitable mental health systems in the Philippines and beyond.

From the Philippines to the UN, let’s make sure our views are heard. Engage with #Enga9e on April 30th!
