New Galaxy A series phones debut Awesome Intelligence, improved camera tech, and strengthened resilience
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today introduced Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G, the latest additions to the Galaxy A series. For the first time, the Galaxy A series integrates Awesome Intelligence—bringing Galaxy’s popular AI-driven tools to enhance creativity—while delivering greater durability and longevity, alongside strong security and privacy features for a secure and lasting mobile experience.

Awesome Intelligence for Enhanced Search and Creative Tools
Awesome Intelligence is the first integrated mobile AI system available on Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G, providing users with powerful, intuitive AI tools. Powered by One UI 7.0, the new Awesome Intelligence features offer advanced search and visual capabilities to Galaxy A series users.
A popular feature from last year’s Galaxy A series, Google’s upgraded Circle to Search, simplifies searching and discovery directly from the screen. With recent updates, users can achieve more with their phone. Circle to Search now quickly identifies phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs on the screen, enabling users to perform actions with a single tap.
With the latest Circle to Search enhancements, users can now instantly identify songs they hear without switching apps. Whether a song is playing on social media or from nearby speakers, a long press on the navigation bar activates Circle to Search, then tapping the music button easily identifies the song and artist.
The Galaxy A series also elevates the camera experience with creator-focused tools, featuring a robust triple-camera system with a 50MP main lens on all models and 10-bit HDR front lens recording on Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G for clear selfies. Galaxy A56 5G boasts advanced camera technology with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the entire Galaxy A series fosters creativity through intelligent visual editing.
Exclusive to Galaxy A56 5G, Best Face simplifies capturing perfect group photos by selecting and combining the best expressions for up to five people from a motion photo. If someone blinks or looks away, Best Face ensures everyone looks their best in a single shot. Galaxy A56 5G also improves Nightography, with Low Noise Mode for the 12MP selfie camera and wider camera support for stunning low-light content.
Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G feature refined Object Eraser, allowing users to remove unwanted distractions from photos. Users can manually or automatically select objects to erase, achieving a cleaner, more polished image with a few taps. Additionally, Filters enables custom filter creation by extracting colors and styles from existing photos for personalized effects. These intelligent tools allow users to refine and enhance photos effortlessly, bringing new creative possibilities to every shot.
Built To Last With Upgraded Displays and Software Longevity
Now offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, and six years of security updates, the Galaxy A series further strengthens its software longevity. These updates optimize the device’s lifecycle, ensuring a smooth and reliable experience for years.

With a 5,000mAh battery across the lineup, the new Galaxy A series supports daily routines. Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G support 45W charging and Super Fast Charge 2.0, providing faster charging. Galaxy A56 5G is powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, and A36 5G by the Snapdragon® 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. A larger vapor chamber in both models sustains performance for smooth gameplay, video, and multitasking.

The new Galaxy A series is available in various colors. Galaxy A56 5G comes in Awesome Light Gray, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Pink. Galaxy A36 5G is available in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, and Awesome White.
Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G will be available in the Philippines by March 17, 2025, at Samsung Experience Stores and partner retailers, and in the Samsung Online Store by March 24, 2025.
