Cebu Pacific Air has officially launched its direct flights from Davao to Don Mueang, Bangkok, and our bloggers were lucky to be onboard for the inaugural journey! Operating three times a week, this new route brings Davaoeños closer to the vibrant city of Bangkok, a destination known for its bustling streets, rich culture, and mouthwatering cuisine.
Though their trip lasted just a few days, our bloggers made the most of their time exploring the best sights and, of course, indulging in Bangkok’s iconic street food. From spicy tom yum soup to sweet and savory mango sticky rice, their taste buds were in for a treat. Here’s a glimpse of what they had to say about the experience:
As a first-timer in Bangkok, I was captivated by the city’s vibrant energy and their rich culture. What amazed me was how efficient the BTS & MRT trains were and the convenience of the skywalk system, which made navigating from one mall to the other malls a breeze. I was able to experience this, all thanks to Cebu Pacific Air’s first direct flight from Davao to Bangkok (DMK). – The Pretty Prince
I explored Thailand, one step at a time. Each step revealed its culture and communities. I enjoyed the journey as I experienced everything what this country offered. – Jade Factura
Coming back to Bangkok allows me to create memories while revisiting the experiences that made my previous trip special. Thailand is more than an adventure, relaxation or cultural immersion. I find it a rich tapestry of experiences that will leave me longing to come back again and again. – James Rhed
My recent trip to Bangkok was my first international flight, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. A huge thanks to Cebu Pacific Air for making it possible to fly directly from Davao to Bangkok, bringing me closer to this vibrant city. I’ll always remember exploring the lively Damnoen Floating Market, watching trains pass by the stalls at Maeklong Railway Market, and admiring the beautiful Wat Arun Temple. Jodd’s Fair Night Market was another highlight, where I indulged in Thai food that I now crave again. This trip was truly a blend of culture, flavors, and unforgettable sights! – Khel Kreations
It has always amused me how countries like thailand are able to incorporate ancient practices and structures with the present; seeing these in the capital city of Bangkok says a lot about how they value their individuality as a country while embracing globalization. The food is also amazing and enjoyable as they are an amalgam of exotic, and the usual, and a mixture of different influences, which makes the gastronomic experience memorable. As a socio-cultural anthropologist, this trip is a touch of heaven and something of value to me. I’d definitely go back given the chance. – Near Chua
One of the highlights of our Thailand trip was visiting the Historic City of Ayutthaya, an hour and a half away from Bangkok by train. Seeing the ruins of a city founded in 1350 made time stand still. I greatly enjoyed my time there and was amazed from the start. No wonder it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. – Sarwrites
The locals are so hospitable. Nag assist jud sila sa amo from the hotel accommodation, kung mag ask ka og direction, and even sa taxi driver. Cge mi kasaag sa pick up point kay dili mao ang na pin, but naga assist jud sila even gamay lang ilang English pero naningkamot jud sila. One driver even suggested to go to the main road para jud makita mi nya, wala jud nya gicancel ang booking bisan dugay mi nagpinangitaay. Over all experience is great! Will definitely go back to Thailand. And will definitely visit other countries soon! – IAmSpecials
But that’s not all. Cebu Pacific has also launched a direct flight from Manila to Chiang Mai, operating three times a week. Our very own Renz had the opportunity to explore and experience this maiden flight. From the lush mountains to the ancient temples, Chiang Mai offered a unique charm that Renz absolutely fell in love with.
