With mother’s day in our midst, some of the Davao Bloggers members are appreciating the person responsible for raising them and putting them out to the world to be the best persons they can be.
Fave mom memory: My fave memory of my mom was our 10am chat dates on skype or messenger. She was in the states and I was here in the Philippines. We always dropped what we were doing at 10 am my time and we would just hang out like besties. She was my person and I was hers.
Those days we spent talking to each other kept us present in each other’s lives and got me through the times when she was too sick to make the calls and sustained me when she passed away. I love and miss my mom everyday. Treasure your mom always, guys. Save up great memories with them to take you through storms ?

I remember when I was still in elementary, my mom would patiently wait for me to finish playing with my classmates until the sun sets. She would sit and look at us enjoying our games. I appreciate and admire her for being patient to the three of us.
She always encourages and supports all of us in all that we do that’s why I felt so free to join any activities back when I was still in school. Thank you for everything mom. Happy mother’s day!

My favorite memory of me and my mom was back when we went to Disneyland and it was just the two of us we were very enthusiastic as we ride the carousel and all the different rides there. It was the first time i saw my mom enjoyed like a little kid, something she truly deserves because growing up she didn’t have the privilage given that she came from a poor family and she was the eldest so at an early age she started working. I miss my mom everyday, especially her cooking our favorite dishes.

I remember back in late 2018 during the 1st trimester of my pregnancy, my mom would make the trip from south of Davao to our house in downtown (which took almost an hour) just to bring me soup and food that she cooked herself. She really wanted to make sure that her daughter (and of course, her unborn grandchild) would be well fed and healthy.
As somebody who was 29 years old back then, I felt like a child again thanks to that memory. The saying is indeed true… no matter what age, you will always be a baby in your mother’s eyes.
