It’s already 2021, but unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic isn’t over. There was no way that the members of the Davao Bloggers Society could bond. Hence, despite all the limitations, the DBS Officers and BOT organized the annual acquaintance party on June 12, 2021, via virtual conference.
Simplicity and fun over online bonding was the theme that was shown during the event. The event flow was simple but engaging and educational at the same time. The members who attended it were happy to see each other and participate in the raffle and games virtually.
Many members were introduced to the “Kahoot!” virtual game and were challenged to quizzes about Filipino culture, especially since the event was held during Philippine Independence Day. The Kahoot game was broken into three rounds: Easy, Moderate, and Difficult. The members showcased their smarts and fast typing skills to fight for the prizes up for grabs from the event sponsors.
Apart from the educational and engaging Kahoot game, the members were in for a treat via a raffle draw with ten P500-worth of Jollibee gift certificates and four whole cakes from Blue Post Boiling Crabs and Shrimps. Aside from that, everyone who attended the acquaintance party was given P100 Paymaya credits from the DBS org.
The Davao Bloggers Society members indeed had a good time. They enjoyed the acquaintance party, even if it was held virtually. Since many Davaoeños are now being vaccinated, all members look forward to attending face-to-face brand events and organizing actual parties once again in the near future.
