It’s finally the Kadayawan Festival! And a lot of you might be visiting some of the landmarks, staying in different hotels, and join the fun by watching the Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan and other activities. Sure thing, you will also be eyeing for some new or already known places/restaurants to dine or food to try during your visit here in Davao.
And we have listed down recommended food/restaurants for your reference:
Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp
Unsurprisingly, this restaurant is one of the most recommended places to dine in Davao City. If you’d ask a dabaoeño as to what place has the flavorful desserts and delightful meal, sure thing this place would be one on the list. Lachi’s is known in Davao due to its yummy Sans Rival.
Location: Values School Building, Ruby Street, Davao City
Facebook page: Lachi’s Sans Rival Atbp
Contact no.: (082) 224 5552
Compared to other known local cake brands or pangmasa brands, Lachi’s version of the San’s Rival is less sweeter but more buttery than the usual which makes it more appealing for me to eat. It’s neither bland/too buttery nor too sweet and neither hard to cut nor chew which makes it extraordinary.

Blue Posts Boiling Crabs and Shrimps
It is one of the favorite seafood restaurants in Davao. Eating with your hands is the norm and this is the traditional way to eat for Filipinos! They offer fresh kinds of seafood with very flavorful sauces. Eat with your hands and enjoy the messy eat adventure with your fresh seafood. And no worries! It’s totally a norm in the Filipino tradition.
Branches: SM Ecoland Davao Annex

Dining with your hands was highly encouraged to get that full feel of a fun and messy eat adventure. And the messier you got with every bite, the better your dining experience becomes.

Fowlplay Kitchen + Dive Bar
The newest and hippest restaurant to check in Davao City. Fowlplay gives our classic favorite fried chicken into a whole new level. They also have different promos every day Like Mojito Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Ladies night and Wing it Thursdays.
Location:115 P. Pelayo Street, Poblacion District, Davao City
Facebook page: Fowlplay Kitchen + Dive Bar
Contact no.: (082) 237 3497
Fowlplay features a cool Riverdale-inspired bar counter with a vast array of classic drinks like whiskey, scotch, bourbon, and a lot more. But what I like here most is their generous portions of delicious Fried Chicken in a good number of flavors and the gigantic Burgers. This spot is truly a good place to stop by for happy hour.
