The Davao Bloggers Society held its General Assembly for 2018 on Saturday at Jollibee Bajada. It was a time to welcome the new officers of the organization, thank the past officers for their service, review policies and meet aspiring bloggers and future members.
Founding president and a member of the Board of Trustees Ria Jose introduced the DBS Board of Trustees and new officers and explained their responsibilities. She also handed out service awards to the past officers as well as special awards to officers and members who made significant contributions to the organization’s activities.
Past president Andrew dela Serna, through Chito de Castro (former content director), thanked all members for their support while leading the organization in the past two years.
New president Julie Alontaga, for her part, thanked everyone for their trust and assured that her team is eager to organize more projects in the coming months. These projects include workshops to assist members in their blogging endeavor and outreach programs for the underprivileged sectors of Davao.
Jeff Sison, on behalf of Membership Director Sai Dayanghirang, also gave a briefing on membership qualifications and the registration process.
An open forum capped the event with members of the Executive Committee answering questions from aspiring bloggers.
As always, freebies (gift certificates, lip tints and DBS shirts) were raffled off to attendees. Thank you to our sponsors My Skin Origins and Tipasi Organic Spa.
The DBS General Assembly was also supported by SMART Communications and Jollibee Bajada. Indeed, it was an afternoon well spent.
